3 Ingredient Sweet Potato Burger
I’m not kidding. And they taste phenomenaul at about 160kcal a patty.
- Cut up 3 large sweet potatoes, then boil them until soft.
- While that’s cooking, mash up 4 cans of white beans with a fork, potato masher, or food processor.
- Once the potatoes are cooked, add them together with 2Tbsp crushed red pepper flakes and mash it all together.
- Form into patties, throw in the oven at 425* F until the edges start to crisp.

As a fitblr I often see people talking about egg whites and how great they are and how bad egg yolks are. NO. It breaks my heart to think of all the nutrients of the egg yolk being discarded into eggy heaven.
Egg yolks are good!
Nutrients in a yolk: Egg yolks are jam packed with fat soluble nutrients these include: Vitamins A, D, E, K and carotenoids. These help you boost your immune system, keep your bones, teeth, and skin healthy, reduce the effects of diabetes, and help you reduce the risk of cancer.
Also: Yolks have loads of Zinc, Calcium, Folate and vitamin B12. All of which are super important for you.
But, but, but eggs are full of cholesterol! Yes, but you need this cholesterol! Cholesterol is needed in the body as it is the building block of hormones, also cholesterol helps repair damaged cells in the body. Cholesterol that comes from processed, super fatty food is bad for you, so don’t go out and eat tons of fried food. When it comes from this incredible egg it is not!
Additionally: Eating only egg whites can cause a biotin deficiency, biotin is the vitamin that gives us strong nails and beautiful hair!
In conclusion: EAT THE WHOLE EGG. It is only 70 calories for one XL egg. It is amazing for you. Tastes great. Now I am not saying go make yourself 20 eggs to make up for your lack of yolky days, but do not be afraid to incorporate into your diet.
The bit about cholesterol is not true. Your body does not “need” cholesterol from any dietary sources to maintain itself, because your body is designed to produce all the cholesterol it needs itself. Anything extra is just unnecessary.
Cutting out peanut butter isnt going to do you any good. Try natural peanut butter. Peanut butter provides healthy fats your body needs.
Well the brand my family buys isn’t a very good one. It’s loaded with hydrogenated oils, sugar, and salt, which is why I’m cutting it out. If some nice natural organic nut butter comes along my path then I will definitely have some!
Cleaning eating decision
Starting today, June 1st, I’m cutting out all the crap. All those little “treats” I allow myself in moderation? Nope. Not anymore. I want to go an entire month eating a purely as possible. No more commercially processed junk. Things I’m ditching that I eat regularly:
The occasional piece of chocolate
I don’t eat that much junk food, so it’s a short list but I’m going for it. If I want any of these things I’ll make them or healthy alternatives in my own kitchen. That’s that.
Good to know—those annoying stickers on fruits and veggies tell you A LOT! 4 numbers mean they were conventionally grown, 5 numbers starting with number 8 means they are genetically modified (GMO), and 5 numbers starting with 9 means they were organically grown (no pesticides or GMOs)
